Return from the land of the Green

Many thanks to my mum for making the trip across the Atlantic to see her wee boy! It was great to see her and she won over everyone at the pub. It was so busy one night that I couldn't even get my own mother a table! It has become quiet around the pub, but Saturdays are still busy.

After two nights at Smuggler's watching me work, we went over to Ireland to see my family in Belfast. It was my Grandad's 81st birthday on Tuesday. It was great to see him and my Granny. I have not stayed at their place in about 4 years and it was very strange to be back staying with them. Some things had changed, but not all that many. Plus they still have the nice view of the rolling green hills, so that made me feel like nothing had changed. I also got to see the cousins and other relatives that I have not seen in about a year.

Things around Weymouth are a bit sad. Dzido worked his last shift at Smuggler's the other day and he leaves on Wednesday. It is little surreal that we are actually going to be living in different countries. But Europe is a small place and we still plan to run with the bulls again next year. By the way, anyone who is thinking of being in Europe next summer should join us. You don't have to run if you don't want to, but come for the party.

On the 5th of October I had officially been gone for 4 months. Time sure does fly. I still feel like I am just on vaction and that I will be goin back to school soon. Although I suppose that I have only been gone for 1 university semester, which isn't that long. But I do miss certain things about Canada and travelling has shown me that there is nowhere else I would rather live. England is fine, but it isn't home. Also, what am I to do when it doesn't snow in the winter? Weird.

PS- my toe still hurts :(

You forgot to mention Tim Horton's coffee in your “miss home paragraph”. All the best to your toe. I heard that you are just about to receive a “fashion shoe” that suppose to help.

And what about pancakes with maple sirup, and fishing salmon in Credit River?
By the way will you guys ever get over this Pampelona thing?
You should really widen your horizons concerning Southern Europe. Why don't you check Greek islands and temples? Or, have you heard of Palio in Siena?

We'll do all that too. I'd love to see Greece and get back to Italy. Pamplona is just something different. Something that you'd have to experience to understand fully

I'll come play with you next summer if we can go to Greece!

... I miss you and it makes me sad that you two aren't together anymore.

I have to put myself sensorily in a place in one of my classes (sounds like bullshit, but the stuff works... it's amazing), and I've been ending up in your old apartment. It's crazy. I cry a lot. My teacher inevitably stops me before everyone else because I get such a strong reaction. Oh, how I do miss you so... but thanks for helping to provide me with amazing acting tools ;-)

Where are you applying to law school?
